BPMN
BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) is an open standard for visually modeling business processes. LoyJoy uses BPMN 2.0 to represent conversations as visually editable processes.
Also known as: Business Process Model and Notation, BPMN 2.0
What BPMN delivers
BPMN describes processes as diagrams of tasks, gateways, and events, readable for business and IT alike. The standard is maintained by the Object Management Group (OMG) and is vendor-neutral.
BPMN for conversations
LoyJoy uses BPMN 2.0 as both a modeling and an execution language: every conversation, every AI agent and every service flow is an executable BPMN diagram. Benefits:
- Versioned and auditable
- Business stakeholders can read and contribute
- Reusable sub-processes across tenants
- Separation of logic (BPMN) and AI components (prompts, tools)
BPMN at LoyJoy
On the platform, processes are built no-code in the visual editor, without programming.
