InsureNXT 2026: Experience the future of AI agents with LoyJoy & R+V! 🤖
insureNXT 2026 in Cologne was a resounding success! Digitalisation experts from the insurance industry gathered once again at the Confex at Koelnmesse. With a record turnout of over 230 exhibitors and partners, the event impressively demonstrated that the insurance industry is actively embracing digital transformation. For LoyJoy, the two days were packed with exciting encounters and valuable discussions.
Here are our highlights from this year’s event:
Full house at the “Customer Experience” Guided Tour
We kicked things off with a real milestone: LoyJoy was an official stop on the “Customer Experience” Guided Tour. A guide led a group of around 25 interested industry experts straight to our stand, D-021. Our CEO, Ulf Loetschert, took the opportunity to deliver a concise pitch and showed the group how modern customer service and long-term customer loyalty go hand in hand from a technological perspective. The subsequent Q&A session demonstrated that there is huge interest in pragmatic, reliable service solutions.

Case study with R+V: The digital assistant ‘Emmie’ takes centre stage
The joint presentation by Ulf Loetschert and Peter Paul Nasim from R+V Versicherung in the Trend Zone proved to be a real crowd-puller. Under the title ‘Agentic AI at the customer interface – A case study from R+V’, the pair provided exclusive insights into their joint success story.
The focus was on the digital assistant ‘Emmie’. The system is currently operating successfully in live use at R+V and resolves standard enquiries fully automatically. This gives service staff more time for genuine, complex advisory work. The audience found it particularly fascinating to learn how R+V, as a pioneer, has managed to bridge the gap between strict regulatory requirements and genuine digital added value for its customers.
Were you unable to attend but have questions about the project or the technology behind it? You can find the “Emmie” success story here.

Hands-on technology: the launch of the Speech-to-Speech Phone Agent
There was plenty going on at our stand throughout the two days. A highlight for visitors was our Phone Agent, which was tested and tried out live in continuous operation – using an iconic 1980s rotary dial telephone in bright orange. Visitors were able to pick up the receiver themselves right there and then, speak into it and experience what the latest generation of voice agents is like. The immediate, enthusiastic feedback we received on the spot showed us once again just how great the potential of voice AI is in the insurance industry.

Nomination for the insureNXT Innovation Award
Another major highlight was the nomination for the coveted insureNXT Innovation Award, which this year focused entirely on artificial intelligence. The award jury selected LoyJoy as one of the top three finalists from over 50 entrants. Even though we didn’t quite make it to first place in the end, the nomination is a fantastic endorsement of our team’s hard work and our excellent partnership with R+V. We’d also like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the winners!

Conclusion: The focus is on personal interaction
What will we take away from insureNXT 2026? Above all, the realisation that the industry is ready for the next step: moving away from theoretical discussions about AI towards productive systems in live operation. We’re taking home countless inspiring insights, new contacts and fantastic feedback. A big thank you to everyone who visited us at the stand, to the insureNXT team for organising the event and, of course, to our partner R+V for our strong joint presence!
