LoyJoy vs. Salesforce Agentforce 360
Salesforce Agentforce Alternative: LoyJoy Compared
Agentforce is tightly coupled to an existing Service Cloud license. LoyJoy can be deployed independently, with or without Salesforce.
Two different platform philosophies
Salesforce Agentforce 360 is the AI agent layer of the Salesforce suite (Sales, Service, Marketing, Commerce, Slack as the "Agentic OS") and requires a Service Cloud Enterprise Edition license or higher, there is no entry point without an existing, paid Salesforce environment. According to independent sources, fewer than 10% of Salesforce's more than 150,000 customers have scaled Agentforce beyond the pilot phase so far. LoyJoy can be used standalone, independent of any CRM system. Additional movement in the ecosystem: on June 15, 2026, Salesforce announced the acquisition of Fin (formerly Intercom) for around $3.6 billion, and Fin's AI agent is also set to be integrated into Agentforce 360. More detail on the Fin comparison page.
Direct comparison: LoyJoy vs. Salesforce Agentforce 360
| Kriterium | LoyJoy | Salesforce Agentforce 360 |
|---|---|---|
| Headquarters / ownership[1] | Münster, self-funded | San Francisco, NYSE-listed, the number 1 CRM vendor worldwide (20.0% market share, IDC April 2026) |
| CRM prerequisite[2] | Optional, any existing back-end system can be connected | Required: Service Cloud Enterprise Edition or higher; Data Cloud/"Data 360" is practically indispensable for personalization |
| Configuration[2] | No-code, BPMN 2.0 | "Conversation Studio" with natural-language configuration, real customization via Apex, Flow, prompt templates, and MuleSoft, more developer-oriented |
| AI models[3] | Customer's choice: GPT-5 family, Mistral Medium, Scaleway gpt-oss-120b, open-source, EU-only possible | Model-agnostic: OpenAI (GPT-4o/4.1/5.x), Anthropic Claude (Haiku/Sonnet/Opus 4.x via Bedrock, currently select customers only), Google Gemini, Amazon Bedrock Nova |
| Voice / telephony[4] | Speech-to-speech Phone Agent, under 500 ms latency, true audio-to-audio | "Agentforce Voice" (since fall 2025): a classic STT-LLM-TTS pipeline, no end-to-end audio model; telephony via Amazon Connect or 20+ CCaaS partners |
| Channels[2] | Web chat, WhatsApp Business (40+ modules), phone, MCP server | Web chat, SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Apple Messages, LINE, email, voice; no native X or Instagram DM |
| Pricing model[5] | From EUR 399 per month, transparent, one model | Three parallel models: pay-per-conversation ($2 per conversation), Flex Credits ($500 for 100,000 credits), per-user license ($5 per user per month plus credits, "Agentforce 1" from $550 per user per month) |
| Realistic total cost[5] | Predictable from the entry price | Real-world TCO for 30 seats per third-party source is $200,000 to over $450,000 in year one; rollouts realistically take 5.5 to 11 months instead of the advertised 3 to 6 weeks |
| Compliance[6] | GDPR, EU hosting, accessibility standards, EU AI Act, DORA, documented in the Trust Center | Hyperforce EU data residency, EU Cloud Code of Conduct "Second-Level Compliance", ISO 27001, ISO 42001, SOC 2 (dedicated report for Agentforce/Einstein), C5 (Germany), ENS (Spain) |
| US Cloud Act | Out of scope | As a US corporation, generally in scope regardless of EU hosting |
| Ecosystem[7] | Direct integrations with SAP, Salesforce, HubSpot, PIM | AppExchange and partner network: $1.6 trillion in partner revenue, AgentExchange for prebuilt agent templates |
| Revenue scale / growth[8] | Not publicly disclosed | FY26 group revenue $41.5B; Agentforce ARR $800M (up 169% year over year); Agentforce plus Data 360 combined $2.9B ARR (up 200% year over year) |
| Time-to-live[5] | 2 to 4 weeks | Advertised as 3 to 6 weeks, realistically 5.5 to 11 months per third-party source |
When LoyJoy fits
- No Salesforce license, or not a sufficient one, but AI agents for service, sales, and marketing are still wanted
- A true speech-to-speech voice channel matters more than an STT-LLM-TTS pipeline
- Predictable, transparent pricing matters more than three parallel billing models with variable conversation or credit consumption
- Going live in weeks instead of 5 to 11 months
- Data sovereignty without a US parent company matters to you
- Connecting your existing CRM, including non-Salesforce systems, without lock-in
When Salesforce Agentforce 360 fits
- A comprehensive Salesforce landscape across Sales, Service, Marketing, and Commerce Cloud is already in place and the AI layer should build directly on it
- Access to the largest CRM partner and developer ecosystem in the world matters, AppExchange, AgentExchange, systems integrators
- Dedicated compliance certifications are needed for heavily regulated industries, such as a dedicated SOC 2 report for Agentforce and Einstein, ISO 42001, EU Cloud CoC Second-Level
- Access to multiple frontier models such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google through a single managed platform with contractual zero data retention is desired
- The budget can accommodate six- to seven-figure annual costs and a multi-month rollout

Frequently asked questions
- Do I need Salesforce to use Agentforce?
- Yes, at minimum Service Cloud Enterprise Edition is required. There is no entry point without an existing Salesforce license.
- What does Agentforce really cost?
- Three parallel models: $2 per conversation, Flex Credits ($500 for 100,000 credits), or user licenses from $5 per month plus credits. Real-world TCO for 30 users in year one is $200,000 to over $450,000 per third-party source.
- Does Agentforce have true voice or speech-to-speech?
- No, technically it is a classic transcription pipeline from speech-to-text through an LLM to text-to-speech, not a direct audio-to-audio model like LoyJoy's Phone Agent.
- How long does implementation take?
- Salesforce advertises 3 to 6 weeks; independent sources report realistic timelines of 5.5 to 11 months to reach productive scale.
- Which AI models run behind Agentforce?
- Model-agnostic, including OpenAI GPT-4o/4.1/5.x, Anthropic Claude via Amazon Bedrock (currently select customers in regulated industries only), Google Gemini, and Amazon Nova.
- What is Agentforce better at?
- Seamless integration into an existing Salesforce landscape, the largest CRM partner ecosystem in the world, very high R&D investment (19 trillion tokens processed per Q4 FY26 figures), and dedicated enterprise certifications.
- Is Agentforce GDPR-compliant?
- Via Hyperforce EU regions and the EU Cloud Code of Conduct "Second-Level", yes, but as a US corporation the US Cloud Act generally remains applicable regardless of storage location.
